Makunduchi Vocational Training Authority (MAVTC)<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Makunduchi Vocational Training Center is a government institution managed by the Vocational Training Authority, which operates under the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training. The institute was officially inaugurated in 2020 by the former President of Zanzibar and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council, His Excellency Dr. Ali Mohamed Shein, and was later handed over to the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training. The institute began offering training programs in January 2022.<\/p>

Located in the Southern Region of Unguja, in Kisongo Village, Nganani Shehia, the institute is approximately 70 kilometers from the city.<\/p>

The Makunduchi Vocational Training Center is tasked with preparing young people by providing them with technical skills to help them enter the job market. The institute offers both short-term and long-term training programs.<\/p>

Mr. Salum Abdalla Haji<\/strong> is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in hospitality and tourism, specializing in food and beverage service. He holds a Basic Certificate in Food and Beverage Service from the Hotel and Tourism Training Centre Zanzibar and a Basic Certificate in Teaching from Morogoro Vocational Teachers Training College, complemented by a Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management.<\/p>\n

He<\/strong> has further enhanced his expertise through key training programs, including certifications as a Pedagogical Master Trainer for Vocational Training, Modern Kitchen Organization and Management (under German Cooperation), and a Trainer of Trainers in Tourism and Hospitality (in collaboration with NTZ Solutions, Oman). He has also completed a seminar on fruit processing in Beijing, China, and contributed to Zanzibar\u2019s Strategic Plan for Tourism Competitiveness and Innovation with the World Bank.His work experience includes roles as a waiter at prominent Zanzibar resorts like Mapenzi Beach Resort, Sultan Palace Resort, and Kempinski Global Hotels, as well as leadership positions such as Operations Manager at Holy Green Garden Lodge, Tanga, and Restaurant Manager at Going Beach Club, Zanzibar.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
