CENTRE OF COMPETENCE<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

DESCRIPTION<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The centre of competence is designed to deliver pedagogical and technical training based on highly specialized short courses.<\/p>\n

The mandatory pedagogical short courses are targeting vocational training instructors of Zanzibar. These courses ensure a standardized pedagogical skills level to improve the education of Zanzibar. The COC will also provide highly specialized technical short courses <\/em><\/strong>for instructors and qualified personnel of all sectors in Zanzibar. The centre is located at Mkokotoni on the compound of the vocational training centre and is guided and operated by the Zanzibar vocational training Authority (VTA).<\/p>\n

COURSES<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

PEDAGOGICAL TRAINING<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

This is a mandatory course for vocational training instructors of all vocational training centres in Zanzibar.<\/p>\n

The courses are given by certified instructors who have mastered professional training by international trainers from Germany.<\/p>\n

The basic pedagogical training provides you with all the pedagogically important and necessary basics for working as a teacher in vocational education. It imparts theoretical knowledge from the subject areas of CBET, Communication, Soft skills, Didactics and Methodology and combine this with practical exercises and self-testing as a teacher. Additionally you will get insights into learning psychology and adult-oriented teaching as well as lesson preparation and training planning.<\/p>\n

To ensure that every participant achieves the training goad, only 12 participants are usually admitted per training session. This ensures on optimal transfer of knowledge and enough time for each participant to try out what they have learned on site.<\/p>\n

Duration: the training lasts a total of 6 weeks and is conducted in several training blocks. After successfully passing a final exam at the end of the training, you will receive a VTA recognized certificate.<\/p>\n

TECHNICAL TRAINING<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The centre of Competence is delivering advanced state of the art courses in the Automotive <\/em><\/strong>and Food Production <\/em><\/strong>sector.<\/p>\n

The centre of competence want to ensure the latest technologies are delivered to the community of Zanzibar.<\/p>\n

The courses are offered based on effective costs as anon profit office.<\/p>\n

The short courses are created based on the needs and demands of the private sector.<\/p>\n

Modern Diagnostic and Auto Electric Course<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Participants:<\/strong>All Automobile Technicians, Teachers and Mechanics, who are working in the area of the automotive section.<\/p>\n

Description:<\/strong>This course will train you foundational knowledge on Electrical principals used in the automotive area. It will also give you the skills how to use modern diagnostics computers for identifying electricals faults in cars and how to repair or replace the broken parts. The course is set to give you a proper foundation on the usage of electrical multimeter and different principals of identifying electrical faults with the multimeter in automotive electrical system. You will learn to read circuit diagrams and use them in area of automotive. Additionally you will be trained on customer care and protect the environment.<\/p>\n

Duration:<\/strong>The duration of this intensive course will be two weeks starting on a Monday and ending each week on Friday afternoon. A certificate will be given after successful finish of the course<\/p>\n

Modern Automotive Air condition Service and Repair Course<\/u><\/strong>
Participants:<\/strong>All Automobile Technicians, Teachers and Mechanics, who are working in the area of Service and Repair of Air condition in the automotive section.<\/p>\n

Description:<\/strong>This course will train you how to service, maintain and repair Air conditions in automotive. The training will give you a foundation of the typical Air condition principals, will cover all type of brands and air condition systems in the automotive section and will give you an introduction in modern tools and technics to service, maintain and repair Air conditions systems.  Additionally you will be trained to satisfy your customer, protect the environment and give you the know how on typical electronic failures in air condition systems and how to fix them.<\/p>\n

Duration:<\/strong>The duration of this intensive course will be two weeks starting on a Monday and ending each week on Friday afternoon. A certificate will be given after successful finish of the course.<\/p>\n

Modern Service and Workshop Management Course<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Participants:<\/strong>All Automobile Technicians, Teachers and Mechanics, who are working in the area of Service, Maintenance and Workshop Management in the automotive section.<\/p>\n

Description:<\/strong>This course will train you foundational knowledge on how to run a car repair workshop, manage, take care of your employees, handle tools and especially give you the skills on modern customer care. You will get to know how to identify lubricants on quality and usage. Teachings on how to do modern preventive maintenance services on Automotives and the use of modern technics and tools are once of the areas you will you also be taught on. This will boost your skills as a Teacher, Mechanic and Workshop manager. Additionally you will be trained to bind and satisfy your customer, protect the environment and give you the knowhow on financial calculations in the Car Workshop area.<\/p>\n

Duration:<\/strong>The duration of this intensive course will be two weeks starting on a Monday and ending each week on Friday afternoon. A certificate will be given after successful finish of the course.<\/p>\n
